The TROLL^® Shield antifouling system extends instrument deployments in coastal environments and at high-fouling sites. Within minutes, you can attach the TROLL Shield system to your instrument and deploy.

Combats Biofouling

The TROLL Shield system combats biofouling of Level TROLL^® instruments and of Aqua TROLL^® instruments and their conductivity cells. Reduced sensor fouling extends instrument deployments by six weeks or more and improves instrument performance.

TROLL Shield components are made of specially formulated copper alloy that increases instrument resistance to micro- and macro-fouling organisms.

Protects TROLL Instruments

• Aqua TROLL^® 200 – Use the TROLL Shield antifouling guard and nose cone.
• Aqua TROLL^® 100 – Use the TROLL Shield antifouling guard.
• Level TROLL^® 500 and 700 – Use the TROLL Shield antifouling nose cone.

After a six-week deployment, clean the instrument, guard, and nose cone. Follow cleaning procedures described in your Level TROLL or Aqua TROLL instrument manual. For optimal performance, replace the guard every six months and the nose cone annually.
