TROLL^® Com devices are the communication interface between a Level TROLL^®, Aqua TROLL^®, or TROLL^® 9500 and a PC or RuggedReader^® handheld PC. The TROLL Com includes an RS485-RS232 converter, external power jack, and vent with replaceable membrane. Rated IP67. Four models are available:

• RS232, cable connect—Uphole end connects to a 9-pin RS232 serial port. Downhole end has a male connector that mates with the twist-lock connector on the instrument cable.

• USB, cable connect—Uphole end connects to a USB port. Downhole end has a male connector that mates with the twist-lock connector on the instrument cable.
• RS232, direct connect—Uphole end connects to a 9-pin RS232 serial port. Downhole end has a female connector that mates directly with the instrument back end.
• USB, direct connect—Uphole end connects to a USB port. Downhole end has a female connector that mates directly with the instrument back end.
